Area information

Remagen is located 50 km south of Cologne, on the left bank of the River Rhine. It became famous in the Second World War for the battle of the Bridge at Remagen, and for the 1960s film which depicted the incident. Nowadays the peace museum is housed in the preserved pillars of the bridge. The town centre offers a pedestrian area with chic boutiques, interesting cafes and cosy pubs. Remagen is the ideal base for walking or cycling tours, or simply for relaxing.

Travel information

It is easy to get here by car due to the excellent motorway connections. From the north or the south, take the A61 motorway running along the left bank of the River Rhine, take the Remagen/Sinzig exit and follow the B9 to Remagen. In Remagen simply follow the green hotel signs. Coming via the A3 motorway on the right bank of the River Rhine. Travelling from the south along the A48 motorway, head for Koblenz and take the B9 towards Bonn. Travelling from the north, follow the signs for Köln-Flughafen (Cologne Airport) and take the A59 motorway or the B9 to Bonn-Bad Godesberg, and then on to Remagen.
