Situated within the rural village of Thormanby on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, The Old Rectory is a Grade II listed Georgian building 25 minutes’ drive from York. Rooms at The Old Rectory offer en suite private bathrooms with toiletries, TVs, some flat-screen, with DVD players, free Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate-making facilities. Some rooms also include four-poster beds. Guests can enjoy full English breakfasts within the guest dining room with real open fires and 18th-century furnishings. The guest house also includes a large old English country garden featuring an original Georgian garden wall with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The guest house is 15 minutes from the Park and Ride, which will take you directly into York city centre. The nearby North Yorkshire Moors provide numerous opportunities for scenic walks amongst the beautiful countryside, and historic Harrogate is 30 minutes’ drive away.
